In this age of ever-changing technology, where cell-phones become obsolete after only a few phone bills, it is nice to know I have been using the same humidifier for my home for nearly five years. My Air O Swiss 7135 has become as much a fixture in my bedroom as my cats on the sofa. This should tell you something about its reliability and effectiveness. It garners awards in its category for a variety of reasons.
1. Because of its nearly silent operation, it can be strategically placed in any room of the house-including the bedroom-without fear of becoming an obtrusion to a good night’s sleep. In fact, it is strategically placed so as to reduce my husband’s snoring and my tendency to sinus infections.
2. The Air O Swiss 7135 humidifies a good sized master bedroom quite quickly, so there is virtually no need to keep it running continuously, although we sometimes do in the dead of winter.
3. It is light enough to make filling it up a relatively easy process even if you have little upper arm strength. Though a top fill would be most individual’s first choice, refilling is not a chore, and each refill lasts at least 24 hours.
4. It offers the option of cool mist and warm mist. Since we live in the North East I choose the warm mist option as it results in a humidity which is pleasantly warm rather than cool and clammy.
5. The demineralization cartridge nearly eliminates white dust around the bedroom. I might hasten to add that we do not have hard water and for those with very hard water this might not be the best product and an air washer might be a better choice.
6. I can also rest easy knowing this humidifier is not redepositing bacteria into the air because the water is sterilized using a patented ionic stick. We are so impressed with this feature we recommend it as an accessory to other humidifiers.
